Obituary for Connie Medlock
Connie Cox Medlock, age 69, of Dawsonville, GA passed away Sunday October 17, 2021, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, GA. Connie was born in Sylvester, GA on March 11, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Olin and Hilda Hogan Cox.
Connie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville. She served as the church organist for over 40 years. Connie was employed with Dawson County Bank/United Community Bank for over 25 years. She loved music, singing, reading and animals.
Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Richard “Rick” Medlock of Dawsonville, GA; daughters, Regina Lynne Medlock of Dawsonville, GA, Rhonda Leigh Heide of Endicott, NY; grandchildren, Briana & Damian Breyaert, Nickolas “Nik” & Brooke Medlock, Kaitlyn Paxton and Michael Heide; great-grandson, Tyler Sperry; brother, Ricky Cox.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Dawsonville in Dawsonville, GA. Dr. Dustin Gillespie, Dr. Jim Gaines and Chaplain Ralph Medlock will be officiate. The remains will be placed in state at 1 o’clock. Interment will be held at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 11:30 a.m.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 20th from 4:00-8:00pm at Bearden Funeral Home, Dawsonville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Connie’s memory to the charity of your choice.
