Obituary for William Jarrett "Bill" Simpson

William Jarrett “Bill” Simpson, 68, of Clarkesville, GA passed away October 14, 2021.
Bill was born December 27, 1952 in Columbia, South Carolina. He moved frequently around the United States due to his father’s work with Kellogg. In 1972, he moved to Georgia and never left. Bill was a social butterfly and would talk to anyone about anything; if he could cook a meal for you, you were in for a treat. As an avid sports enthusiast, he never found a sport he didn’t immediately love. His heart was dedicated to 60s-70s Rock and Roll, specifically Jethro Tull, The Who and Pink Floyd. Bill worked for Georgia Reprographics (Georgia Blue) from 1981-2009 which prepared all the printing needs for architects and construction engineers in Atlanta. Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his son, Michael Jeremy Simpson, and his father, Arthur Jarrett Simpson.
He leaves behind his son and daughter in law, Jarrett and Davida Simpson, of Dawsonville; their two daughters, Cora and Anna Simpson; step-daughter, Wanda Minnix, of Hampstead, Maryland, along with her two daughters, Jessica and Heather, as well as her granddaughter, Phoebe; his mother Bernice Simpson, of Clarkesville, Georgia; his sister, Donna Mason, of Clarkesville, Georgia; and his former wife, Annette Simpson, of Cumming, Georgia.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Hulsey will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 6 beginning at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Local Church Dawson-Celebrate Recovery, 31 Successful Way, Dawsonville, Georgia 30534
