Hello, I just saw this obituary as I was searching for one of Mr. Thurmond's cd's. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart truly goes out to you and your family.. I want to share my story with you.... My partner in this life was also killed suddenly in a car accident 2 years ago. Our son was 9 months old at the time. My mom had this cd(Now He Leads Me) by Shane Michael Thurmond..... I have listened to it over and over..... My life has been turned upside down and I'm still working through my emotions... Your husbands voice carried a mssg from God that I needed to hear.... listening to those songs broke me down in tears and gave me comfort all at the same time. It's odd that song 13 was my favorite(Peace in the Valley)... that #13 has shown up so many times in mine and my fiancés relationship. I did not know your husband and never got to hear him in person... but he was truly a messenger from God.....

Shane's voice will live on in many hearts, he touched so many people in more ways than one. He will truly missed because he had that talentbeyond measure. May God be with Lisa and ASHTON AND ALLY . ALSO WITH HIS FAMILY TOO. I loved Shane very much, he would always kiss me and tell me he loved me and I will miss that.. Rest in Peace Shane , I know you're singing your heart out.

I only knew Shane through Denise. I know his Mom's family really well & I love all of them. I had heard Shane's beautiful voice. Now he is singing for the angels in heaven.
