i worked with ken for many years at fedex. i always respected his desire to "do the right thing".

There are so many bodacious stories about Ken and me as we go way back at FEDEX as 2 of the original 16 District Directors for the newly created Central Region in SchUmburg, Illinois, circa 1977. The competition, five year plan, Chicago, LA, UK, Brussels,...the Sawmill, the Pubs, late nights, late planes and late deliveries....so many good time, so many memories! The First Star Award winner and SVP from the original team! The pranks, jokes, meetings, dinners, conversations, drinking and 24/7 just plain hard work. You (we) did it all Ken...you'll be missed but always remembered. Christos

My deepest sympathy to the whole Newell family. Ken leaves behind a legacy that has forever touched and impacted our community. His vision and drive helped develop the Ric Rack into a thriving and self-sustaining much needed public service for our community. His commitment will not be forgotten. God bless Ken and all of his family. One just cannot imagine the lose you are feeling individually, let alone corporately in our community.
