Jeff was a singer since the day I met him in 1973. We lived with his mother for a short period of time. He would sing Bad, Bad Leroy Brown all the time. He was a happy kid even then. I loved him and his sister Tami from the day I met them. As the years have gone on, Jeff would call periodically and when I said hello he would say, hello darling, in his best Conway Twitty impersonation. Im going to miss that along with his smile. I know it wont be long before John 5: 28, 29 will be fulfilled. I will have my arms opened wide to welcome him back. Until that time I will have my memories. Love to Mark and the rest of the family.

Had the pleasure of taking JD to Okechobee to fish on time, and of course we had to fish at night. Well JD proceeded to get hung up on what he thought was a log, instead it was an 8ft gator. Believe it or not but using that Zebco reel he was so fond of he actually got it to the boat! He wanted me to take a picture but the tail was almost in the boat! I finnally got the line cut and JD was laughing so hard he almost fell in. We had a great week fishing and I'll never forget it. Jeff and I worked,played music and fished together and he never failed to keep me laughing. I will miss him with all my heart.

Marcus and children: Jeff had the most contagious smile. He warmed your soul with his songs, and hearing him talk about the songs that were his favorites and why, were so inspiring to me. I am very sad for you all, and will keep you in my prayers in the days and months ahead. I am Michael Odum's mother, Kay. I loved to hear Michael play harmonica and Jeff pay guitar together. Michael will miss him terribly. MY heartfelt sympathy to you all!

I still remember when I first met you Jeff, it was almost 28 years ago. I was working at the BP at Warhill and you came in on your way to the Corner Cafe. It didn't take long to become friends. Over the years we talked a lot, mainly about each other's kids. I remember thinking how much you loved your kids. I will always remember the sparkle in your eyes and that sweet smile. You will be missed.

I am so sad to hear this. Praying for all of the family. I know you are all so heartbroken. I had not seen Jeff in many years, but memories of him always brought a smile to my face. He was my first brother, and I always loved him. He taught me how to say y'all and loved making fun of my accent. He also taught me the song I like beer, and so many other songs. I know his Mama was right there waiting for him with her beautiful smile. Rest in peace Jeff.

what a great guy he was my friend I worked at the cafe at Warhill and he would sing on Friday nights I have fished and even helped him lay carpet I was proud to have talked to him last week and he never changes his kids was always his world and still was everytime we talked I will be praying for comfort in this sad time may God be with all yall
