Our Services

We realize that each family has their own unique and special needs. That's why we provide a full range of services, facilities and merchandise and are ready to serve you whenever we are needed. Many times religious or cultural influences will play a part in arranging a personal service from the simplest burial and cremation services to complete traditional and non-traditional funeral and memorial services. When arranging any service, you are only limited by your imagination and we will work with you to insure the tribute you arrange is meaningful and satisfying to all those involved. While we can accommodate any special needs a family may have, the most common services are listed below.

Traditional burial services

A traditional burial service would most often include preparation of the deceased for a visitation which offers the family a way to gather with friends to share memories which plays an important role in the memorialization process.  This is followed by a formal funral service in or chapel, your church or any place of your choice followed usually by a procession to the place of burial.

Cremation Service

Bearden Funeral Home proudly operates our own on-site crematory.  Arranging a cremation service provides you with a great variety of choices. We offer basic cremation with no visitation or service, cremation followed by a memorial service in our chapel, your church or any other facility, or a full service including visitation with viewing and service followed by cremation. We offer cremation packages which allow for a private family viewing prior to cremation for those families who want a chance to view their loved one in our facility or may have family come from out of town. We offer a public visitation followed by cremation with no formal service. We take great pride in the trust placed in us and our handling and supervision of the cremation process maintains the dignity and respect one deserves. While Georgia law states that a casket is not required for cremation, we offer a full line of cremation caskets, carry over 50 cremation urns, many keepsake urns, cremation jewelry, scattering urns, and biodegradable urns.

Shipping Service

We can arrange to transport the remains of your loved one to another city, state or country. We will prepare the body, secure all of the proper documents, provide the appropriate shipping container and arrange for transportation. We will also coordinate with the receiving funeral home to convey your wishes and ensure that a smooth transition occurs.

Receiving Service

We can arrange to receive the remains of your loved one from another area and provide any service you desire once they have arrived.

Pre-Need Consulting

We will be glad to assist you in making prearrangements to record your wishes. For your convenience, we can come to your home to meet with you if necessary. We will make a written record of your wishes and you can pre-select services and merchandise such as caskets, outer burial containers or urns. We can also inform you of the benefits of pre-paying for your final expenses to avoid higher cost at a later date.

General Consulting

Our staff will be glad to assist you in making your arrangements by providing names of area cemeteries and florists. We can also assist with providing someone to officiate at the service if you do not have anyone available and we can provide musicians as well. We will be glad to assist with filing insurance claims and veteran’s claims.

Video Tribute

We have the capability of producing a video memorial tribute of your loved one that can be used during the visitation and/or service. This is a lasting keepsake that can be treasured for years to come and additional copies may be purchased to provide to other family members.

Merchandise

We provide a high quality line of merchandise at reasonable prices. These include caskets made of many gauges of steel, quality woods, stainless steel, copper, and bronze. Many of the caskets can be personalized. We offer a complete line of outer burial containers which consists of both lined concrete and metal vaults and many of these can be personalized. Our line of cremation merchandise consists of several cremation caskets, over 50 urns in stock, a full line of keepsake urns and jewelry items which can hold small amounts of the cremated remains. We offer many memorial packages which consist of guest register books, memorial folders, and acknowledgment cards which come in a variety of styles. We offer clothing for both men and women and also carry a full line of flag cases which can permanently display the VA flag issued to veterans. Photos of much of our merchandise may be seen in the “Our Facility” page.

Payment

As payment for our services, we accept cash, checks, all major credit cards, and verified insurance assignments. We will also accept most prearrangement made at other locations.
