Obituary for Thomas P. "Tom" Brannon

Thomas P. "Tom"  Brannon
Thomas P. “Tom” Brannon, 82, of Dawsonville passed away Friday February 2, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health.
Born January 1, 1936 in Washington, D.C. to the late Paul D. and Nancy E. Brannon, he lived in Dawson County since 1986 having moved from Atlanta. Mr. Brannon retired as Southern Regional Manager of the U. S. Federal Government Printing Office. Tom was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict, was a 53 year member of the Mt. Hermon Masonic Lodge # 179 F & AM and was a member of the Scottish Rite Yaarab Temple of Atlanta and the Tucker Shrine Club where he was a part of the motorcycle corps. He enjoyed square dancing, classic cars. Tom was also preceded in death by a son, Craig Brannon and sister, Nancy June Bailey.
Surviving are his sons and daughter in law, Mike and Darla Brannon, Duluth, Charles Brannon and his companion, Hattie Green, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Tommy Brannon, Jasmine Brannon, Lilli Brannon, Eva Brannon, Emily Brannon, Melinda Crotzer, Charles Crowe, Chris Cox, Courtney Brannon, Jacob Brannon; and seven great grandchildren.
His life will be celebrated at the funeral home on Saturday February 10, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
At his request, Mr. Brannon was cremated and his remains will be scattered in the Atlantic Ocean at a later date.
